GRIDX CALCULATE
Enterprise Utility Billing
GridX Calculate is a billing platform for utilities navigating increasingly complex rate structures. Time-of-use pricing, renewable energy credits, tiered programs. Legacy billing systems weren't built for this. Calculate enables utilities like PG&E, PSEG, SCE and Ameren to bill accurately at scale across modern rate plans.

THE back office
The billing operator's job emerged from the gaps between mainframe systems, spreadsheets, and new software layered on top. When our system flags an exception, they're the ones who dig in, trace it through layers of rate logic, and figure out the right fix. Accuracy is the job. A wrong bill means a wrong revenue number, a customer complaint, or a regulatory flag. The tools they use were built for the technology, not for the people sitting in front of it.

Bill details
Billing operators used to audit bills in Salesforce, piecing together line items from a flat table with no grouping, no subtotals, no way to see disaggregated periods. This view gives them the full bill structure at a glance.

Side By Side
Rate pilot customers stay on their current rate, but our system calculates what they would have paid on an alternate rate. Operators need to verify both bills and understand the difference.
THE CUSTOMER
On the other side of every rate pilot is a ratepayer. While their bill doesn't change during the pilot, the utility is running the numbers in the background. And the portal gives ratepayers a window into how their usage maps to the alternate rate, month by month. If the alternate rate is cheaper, they accumulate credits. Customers with multiple service accounts can enroll them all, and their credits could add up.
Enrollment
One portal that works for a customer with a single meter and a commercial account managing hundreds. With bulk selection, search, and status grouping that only appear when the data demands it.

PILOT RESULTS
Once enrolled, ratepayers can track how the alternate rate compares to their current one. Monthly bill comparisons, cumulative credits, and a downloadable breakdown for anyone who wants to dig into the numbers.
